Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered 12 Step program that works to identify the root causes of compulsive and addictive behaviors.  This program, based on the Beattitudes, shows how the Grace of God is key in obtaining fredom from the chains of addiction. Celebrate Recovery's 12 Step program is key to your own personal recovery. The Serenity Prayer reminds us how powerless we all are in managing our lives without Gods help and we will be happier when we accept that. A Typical Meeting starts at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall at the CUMC campus with a light dinner.  This is followed by a Praise service and a 12 Step lesson or Testimony then breaking into small groups where you can safely share your hurts, habits, and hang-ups with others with similar experiences.  The groups are seperated for men and women. Our Mission: To help men & women who are bound by compulsive or addictive behaviors find recovery and freedom through Jesus Christ.     Christ United Methodist Church is joining with other West Mobile churches so that members and non-members can seek a safe place to resolve their issues. God gave us many gifts that when combined with our hurts, habits and hang-ups are often used destructively.  It may be drugs, alcohol, adultery, food or others.  It may be you or someone you care about  that is affected by the destructive behavior of others.     Remember, God never wastes a hurt.  The hope is at Celebrate Recovery.  If you want help or would like to help, please call Donna Alexander at 342-0462 to get started.
